Matt Prosser is not only the first chief executive of Dorset Council - he is the first employee of the new unitary council created by the reorganisation of Dorset CC and its districts.

And it is perhaps no surprise he got the job – while Graham Farrant takes over as chief executive of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole unitary (see accompanying article).
