Croydon to get £102m EIB loan

Croydon LBC has secured a £102m European Investment Bank (EIB) loan after rejecting the less favourable interest rates offered by the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB).

Croydon LBC has secured a £102m European Investment Bank (EIB) loan after rejecting the less favourable interest rates offered by the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB).

The council believes it will save almost £7.5m by choosing the European option, money that it plans to invest in frontline services.
