Whitehall is using the Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill to push some areas of local government to oversee their own demise, according to D2N2 bosses.

The deal looks to be under threat after Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire CC leaders wrote to communities secretary Greg Clark to express concerns over proposed changes to the legislation.
