Whitehall should be ‘embarrassed' by the findings of a damning public accounts committee (PAC) report into the extension of right to buy, according to the committee's chair.

The report criticised the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) for presenting Parliament with far too little information on the potential impact of the legislation.
