Northern Powerhouse minister James Wharton has allayed the fears of some Yorkshire leaders that the Leeds city region will press on with devolution and leave them behind.

MP for Beverley and Holderness Graham Stuart alluded to concerns about the Leeds city region moving forward with its proposals in a question posed to the minister in an All Party Parliamentary Group meeting today.
