Director of Resources

The Director of Resources will act as the Statutory Section 151 Officer whilst ensuring all of the Council’s resources are developed appropriately to provide value for money, corporate governance and commercial return.

West Lindsey is a Council determined to be more entrepreneurial in its approach and impact. In essence this means being a modern innovative Council that makes the most of its assets and resources especially its people and IT. It also means being more entrepreneurial, maximising income and meeting social needs in ways that are more market led and commercial as public funding diminishes.

We are therefore seeking a new director who can help lead this approach. You will join the Chief Executive and the Chief Operating Officer to form a new senior management team.

The Director of Resources will act as the Statutory Section 151 Officer whilst ensuring all of the Council’s resources are developed appropriately to provide value for money, corporate governance and commercial return.

We are seeking candidates who are adept at understanding and managing risk whilst having entrepreneurial skills in terms of being proactive, adaptive, solution focussed and delivering results. We are also placing a premium on an ability to be collaborative and skilled at building relationships and alliances.

If you think you have what it takes to accelerate our progress in delivering a demanding change agenda, then please visit this website or contact Jon Houlihan on 0121 644 5710. Closing date for applications is 24th January 2014.
