Distinguishing good processes from good outcomes

Abdool Kara says good politicians know that good outcomes cannot be divorced from good processes.

Have you noticed that the word 'process' has become something of a bête noir these days – with orators resorting to the tired old phrase that they are interested in 'outcomes, not processes'.

And so, with constant repetition, the word joins those other epithets of public policy – 'red tape', 'bureaucracy' and 'tick boxes'.
