Districts get mainstream

A new study by The King’s Fund suggests how districts could boost local health outcomes and cut health costs by advancing the prevention agenda. Cllr Neil Clarke breaks it down

Public health is shaped by many factors other than health care alone, and prevention will always be better than cure.

When it comes to advancing the prevention agenda, we at district council level have the ability to play both a direct role and also use our power to influence other bodies through collaboration.
