DLUHC apologises for Grenfell failures

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has apologised for failures in the lead up to the Grenfell Tower fire.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) today apologised for failures in the lead up to the Grenfell Tower fire.

In a statement to the public inquiry read by counsel for the DLUHC, Jason Beer QC, the department admitted to ‘errors and missed opportunities' that helped create an ‘environment in which such a tragedy was possible'.
