Wales' local government secretary Mark Drakeford has lashed out at the English council tax system as he announced an extension to tax reduction schemes in Wales.

Wales' local government secretary Mark Drakeford has lashed out at the English council tax system as he announced an extension to tax reduction schemes in Wales.

Approximately 300,000 households in the devolved nation will remain protected from increases in council tax and 220,000 of those will pay no tax at all until ‘at least the end of 2017-18'.
