Durham to hold public vote on devo deal

Durham Council residents eligible to vote will be asked for their views on the North East’s devolution agreement via a postal vote next month.

Durham Council residents eligible to vote will be asked for their views on the North East's devolution agreement via a postal poll next month. 

The approach was agreed at a full council meeting today and the results, although not binding, are intended to help to inform the authority's decision.
