Edinburgh City Council faces ‘significant ongoing costs' to implement recommendations from independent investigations into the handling of historic child abuse allegations and poor councillor behaviour.

A paper to be considered by the full council this week details additional staffing costs alone of £1.75m in 2022-23, £2m in 2023-24 and £1.8m annually in later years.
