Ministers have again threatened to withhold funding from local enterprise partnerships (LEP) that fail to remove overlapping boundaries, The MJ has learnt.

Ministers have again threatened to withhold funding from local enterprise partnerships (LEP) that fail to remove overlapping boundaries, The MJ has learnt.

In a letter, local growth minister Jake Berry and business minister Nadhim Zahawi said a ‘confirmed final proposal' for removing boundary overlaps must be received from LEPs by the General Election on December 12.
