Finance director leaves Liverpool

The council has announced the departure of director of finance and resources Mel Creighton following a botched energy contract renewal.

Liverpool City Council has announced the departure of director of finance and resources Mel Creighton following a botched energy contract renewal.

Ms Creighton, who also holds the role of deputy chief executive, will resign at the end of August after three and a half years at the council.
