Firm exits council talks at 11th hour

Talks over a new IT contract to replace current arrangements between Gloucester City Council and Civica were at an ‘advanced’ stage, with details agreed in principle until the firm abruptly pulled out.

A council dealing with the aftermath of a cyber-attack is to consider bringing its IT services in-house after a contractor withdrew from talks at the 11th hour.
