Council leaders have made renewed calls for the Government to reform the business rates appeals system as councils prepare for a fresh wave of challenges.

Local government minister Marcus Jones last week published a consultation on the revaluation of business rates, which he said would leave the majority of firms across the country ‘unaffected or better off'.
