Efforts to integrate health and local government partnerships could grind to a halt if the Government fails to recognise the crisis in social care funding, according to the chief officer of the Greater Manchester health and social care partnership.

Jon Rouse said it was a ‘false economy' for ministers to not adequately fund social care for its statutory duties.
