Future Forum North: Redmond urges faster audit reform

Sir Tony Redmond said reforms should be introduced more quickly to resolve the crisis in local audit.

Sir Tony, who authored an independent review into external audit for the Government, said the ‘pace of change isn't what it should be' and added ‘it's getting better, but there's more to come'.

He cited as an example: ‘Audit committees don't have the expertise they need, but that's changing.'
