A clear vision for local places will be key to the success of high streets and city centres as they look to the future beyond the pandemic, say public realm experts.

It is ‘fair to say that COVID has been a real lighter fuel underneath town centres, but the fire was already burning and this [the pandemic] has accelerated that', according to national head of planning at GL Hearn Jo Dennis-Jones.
