The future really lies with green hydrogen

What’s clear is hydrogen energy will be a significant part of our future and the potential it holds for our climate, our economies and our people is high, says Kathy O’Leary

Many councils have now declared a climate and nature emergency and have set ambitious targets to reach net zero, often before the 2050 date set by the Government.

At Stroud DC, we were one of the first to declare a climate and nature emergency and commit to being a carbon neutral district by 2030, having already become the first carbon neutral council in Europe. As these deadlines approach, while the sector operates under tight fiscal conditions, pressure is mounting to make tough decisions.
