The Government has narrowly avoided defeat in a House of Lords vote on the postponement of elections.

The Government has narrowly avoided defeat in a House of Lords vote on the postponement of elections.

A ‘motion of regret' over the delay of county council elections in devolution priority areas was rejected by 152 votes to 139 last night.
