Government makes exam grades U-turn

The education secretary has bowed to public pressure and announced students will receive teacher-assessed grades.

The Government has U-turned following an outcry over its handling of exam results.

A-level and GCSE students who were unable to sit exams during the coronavirus lockdown will receive grades assessed by their teachers, it has been announced.
