Public sector workers earning more than £80,000 will be forced to pay back their exit payments if they return to any part of the public sector within a year, under the latest proposals published by the Government.

Prior to the latest consultation the cut off point was fixed at £100,000, but under the latest changes those earning £80,000 or more will have their payments clawed back.
