Government to 'reset' local audit

Local government minister Lee Rowley said statutory deadlines would be announced in the autumn in a bid to tackle the audit backlog.

Local government minister Lee Rowley said statutory deadlines would be announced in the autumn in a bid to tackle the backlog of unaudited accounts dating back up to seven years.
