Graffiti management doesn't need to be such a costly citizen service

For local authorities and other agencies graffiti has become a really expensive headache, says Alex Mathieson.

Graffiti vandalismshows no signs of going away, and, for local authorities and other agencies it has become a really expensive headache costing the UK upto £1bn a year.

The rising costof this facility in an increasingly difficult financial climatemeans difficult budget decisions must sometimes be made. Noticeable cuts to this service are unlikely to be popular though as citizens care greatly about their local environment.
