A change to the Serious Violence Duty will ensure a public health approach is taken to tackling domestic abuse and sexual offences, the Government has announced.

A change to the Serious Violence Duty will ensure a public health approach is taken to tackling domestic abuse and sexual offences, the Government has announced.

The change to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill will mean domestic abuse and sexual offences will be considered as seriously as homicide and knife crime.
