Holyrood remains ‘firmly committed' to its controversial named person policy despite its implementation being delayed by a UK Supreme Court ruling. 

Deputy first minister John Swinney yesterday confirmed the plans would not be put in motion next week, as initially planned, after senior judges found the scheme would breach rights to family and a private life under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
