A proposed Bill to tackle homelessness is ‘overly simplistic', will pile pressure on resources and will make more people homeless, local authorities have warned. 

In an unprecedented move, the Communities and Local Government Committee last night took evidence from councils and housing charities in a bid to scrutinise a Private Members Bill, which was put together by committee member Bob Blackman.
