Improvements to business rates appeals system proposed

Local government minister Marcus Jones has outlined plans for a more streamlined system to prevent the flood of appeals submitted by agents - many of whom work on a ‘no win-no fee' basis and often on behalf of businesses who are unaware it is being done.
