Labour leaders refute accusations of a return 'to the past' as Jeremy Corbyn reveals a shadow cabinet packed with former councillors

Labour local government leaders have promised business as usual as the national party faces a barrage of criticism after Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader.

Mr Corbyn, who is himself a former Haringey LBC councillor, unveiled a shadow cabinet line-up packed with former local councillors.
