Tower Hamlets LBC has called for a Local Government Association-facilitated forum to sort out problems between senior officers and elected members.

In its best value strategy and action plan submitted to communities secretary Eric Pickles, published last week, the council said the forum would ‘review and develop recommendations around elected member and senior officer relationships to address some of the issues which have emerged'.
