LGA Labour name new leader

Newcastle City Council leader Cllr Nick Forbes had been elected as the new leader of the Local Government Association’s (LGA) Labour group.

Newcastle City Council leader Cllr Nick Forbes had been elected as the new leader of the Local Government Association's (LGA) Labour group.

Tweeting after his victory was announced at the Labour local government conference on Saturday, he said he was ‘delighted and honoured' to have been elected.
