LGA ramps up Housing Bill attack

Council leaders have ramped up their efforts to lobby Whitehall on the Housing and Planning Bill after a report revealed council housing stock would shrink in almost all authorities.

Council leaders have ramped up their efforts to lobby Whitehall on the Housing and Planning Bill after a report revealed council housing stock would shrink in almost all authorities. 

A Local Government Association (LGA) report, initiated by the Lib Dem group, found 90% of councils surveyed believed social housing would decrease in their area.
