LGA warns of £10.5bn 'knock-out blow' to services

A further 40 per cent reduction in local government grant funding in the Spending Review would deliver a £10.5bn ‘knock-out blow’ to services, the Local Government Association (LGA) has warned.

A further 40 per cent reduction in local government grant funding in the Spending Review would deliver a £10.5bn ‘knock-out blow' to services, the Local Government Association (LGA) has warned. 

Unprotected departments have been asked to draw up budgets with 25 and 40 per cent worth of savings.
