Liverpool considers council tax referendum

Liverpool City Council could be the first authority to hold a referendum to ask residents whether they would support a tax increase above the 3.99% threshold.

Liverpool City Council could be the first authority to hold a referendum to ask residents whether they would support a tax increase above the 3.99% threshold. 

Mayor Joe Anderson has suggested asking the public whether they would be prepared to pay an extra 10% in council tax.
