Locality Manager, Adult Social Care - Waltham Forest

About the role:

The team work with over 700 learning disabled adults from the age of 18 years and their carers. The team is managed by North East London NHS Trust under a section 75 agreement. The number of people with complex needs coming in to the service continues to increase with Waltham Forest having one of the highest number of young people transitioning from children's services who require adult services. The service works against a backdrop of considerable change including the transformation to personalisation. You will manage the assessment, care management and specialist health care service for people with a learning disability and their carers, making a significant contribution to the continual development of the service. You will have responsibility for the Learning Disabilities team of c50, comprising social workers, nurses, speech & language therapy, psychology and psychiatry.

About you:

This is a key role for a successful manager, experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams. You will be able to demonstrate sound practice around personalisation, safeguarding and risk management in either a learning disabilities or mental health context.
