London Councils chair and Hackney LBC mayor Jules Pipe has announced he will stand down from his positions after being appointed to London mayor Sadiq Khan’s top team.

London Councils chair and Hackney LBC mayor Jules Pipe has announced he will stand down from his positions after being appointed to London mayor Sadiq Khan's top team.

Mayor Pipe will formally resign from his Hackney position next month to join City Hall as deputy mayor of London for planning, regeneration and skills after representing the borough for 20 years.
