Housing experts have warned government plans to phase out lifelong social tenancies will create ‘uncertainty and instability’ for tenants and unsettle communities.

Housing experts have warned Government plans to phase out lifelong social tenancies will create ‘uncertainty and instability' for occupants and unsettle communities.  

Proposed amendments to the Housing and Planning Bill will mean new council house tenancies will be limited to five years.
