Melia named as new chief for North Tyneside

Patrick Melia has been appointed as the new chief executive of North Tyneside Council, the authority has announced.

Patrick Melia has been appointed as the new chief executive of North Tyneside Council, the authority has announced.

Currently corporate director of business and area management at nearby South Tyneside Council, Mr Melia joined his authority's finance department at 16, before taking his CIPFA qualifications and a business degree.
