Ministers moot plans to hand social care to NHS

Social care could be handed over to the NHS under proposals being considered to solve the looming crisis.

Social care could be handed over to the NHS under proposals being considered to solve the looming crisis.

Plans being mooted would see the £22.5bn annual budget shifted from councils to the NHS, boosting the health budget to £150bn a year.
