Speculation is growing that ministers are preparing to water down their proposed planning reforms.

A senior local government source has told The MJ that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has been in listening mode and is likely to modify some of the proposals outlined in a white paper and in May's Queen's Speech.
