A mismatch between motive and facts on voter ID

‘Partygate’ and rule breaking may be a major distraction from electoral proposals that may disenfranchise many voters, according to Stephen Weigel.

So after so many difficult months of headline stories about alleged lies and misuse of public money whilst in public office, we have now have a Boris Johnson stun grenade, also known as a flash grenade lobbed at us that has hit the headlines over numerous parties and other rule breaking at No 10.

Just like a stun grenade, this may all prove to be less lethal (in terms of political ‘dead man walking') than it should, given the complete disgraceful position he and the Conservative government find themselves according to many reports.
