MPs call for end to 'one-off' SEND inspections

Joint ‘one-off’ Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted inspections of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services should not continue, MPs have concluded.

Joint ‘one-off' Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted inspections of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) should not continue, MPs have concluded.

The House of Commons Education Committee report on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) says the CQC and Ofsted should instead be funded to deliver a ‘rigorous' inspection timetable as part of an annual inspection process involving  local authorities and their partners.
