MPs have torn apart the Government’s social work reform plans and called for greater coordination between departments to avoid the profession splitting in two.

MPs have torn apart the Government's social work reform plans and called for greater coordination between departments to avoid the profession splitting in two.  

An Education Committee inquiry found social work was being ‘pulled in contrary directions' by the different agendas of the Department for Education and the Department of Health.
