A devolution deal for Norfolk and Suffolk collapsed after King’s Lynn and West Norfolk BC voted to withdraw from the mayoral deal last night.

A devolution deal for Norfolk and Suffolk collapsed after King's Lynn and West Norfolk BC voted to withdraw from the mayoral deal last night.

Norfolk CC leader Cliff Jordan said the council had cancelled its milestone devolution meeting, due to take place on Monday, claiming it would be a ‘waste of public money' to bring members into the county hall to ‘debate a deal that is not longer available' to them.
