Laws paving the way for the reorganisation of local government in Northamptonshire will pass through Westminster this autumn.

The Ministry of Housing ,Communities and Local Government has written to leaders of the councils to tell them legislation to create the two new unitaries would be introduced ‘as soon as practicable', thought to be late October, and take about eight weeks.
