A procurement boss has called for a single, overarching leader to bring coherence to the Northern Powerhouse amid warnings it could be derailed by infighting.
Mark Robinson, the chief executive of public sector body Scape Group, told delegates at the UK Northern Powerhouse international conference it would be a ‘real tragedy' and ‘backwards step' to let the Northern Powerhouse ‘fizzle out'.
