Ofsted chief inspector Amanda Spielman has sought to ease concerns about a deluge of inspections as the watchdog resumes normal activity in September.

Speaking at the Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS) annual conference, Ms Spielman addressed a ‘myth' circulating of a wave of catch-up inspections in the autumn following the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions.
