Social landlords have been left ‘unpoliced and unaccountable,' academics have warned as they demand an overhaul of ‘outdated' housing laws in the wake of the Grenfell fire.

According to a survey commissioned by housing charity Shelter, 85% of professionals believe housing health and safety law is not fit for purpose.
