Momentum is building behind a pan-Yorkshire devolution deal after North Yorkshire CC's leader said he was open to discussions. 

In a statement to a council meeting next week, Cllr Carl Les will say he remains committed to devolution on the ‘largest possible geography' on a size that would enable the region to ‘compete' on both the national and international stages.
